2024 MOU Signing Ceremony of China-Korea Composites Industry Joint Development Association and Enterprises Successfully Held

Against the backdrop of globalization, science and technology innovation has become the core driving force for the economic development of all countries. As a bright pearl in the field of new materials, carbon fiber composites, with its unique lightweight and high strength characteristics, have given wings to the development of many industries, especially in the field of hydrogen energy storage and application, whose role is irreplaceable. on September 4, we witnessed a landmark moment, China Composites Industry Association and Korea Hydrocarbon Industry Research Group and a number of enterprises in Shanghai during the Composites Exhibition, formally signed a memorandum of cooperation (MOU), marking the cooperation between China and South Korea in the field of composites towards a more in-depth and broad stage. During the Shanghai Composites Exhibition, China Composites Industry Association (C CMI) and Korea Hydrocarbon Industry Research Group (KHIRG) and a number of enterprises officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), which marks that the cooperation between China and Korea in the field of composites has stepped forward to a more in-depth and broad stage. The meeting attracted more than 80 professionals from China and Korea to actively participate.

Mr. Meng Yijie, Secretary General of China Composites Industry Association, Ms. Lu Hongping, Deputy Secretary General, Mr. Park Jong Hyun, Secretary General of Korea Hydrocarbon Industry Research Group, Mr. Kim Jin Sung, Deputy Secretary General, and Ms. Kang Chiu Hee, Chief of the Special Self-Governing Province of Jeollabuk-do, Korea, and other leaders and industry elites were present at the meeting.

At the opening ceremony, Mr. Jong-Hyun Park, Secretary General of Korea Hydrocarbon Industry Research Group, and Mr. Meng Yijie, Secretary General of China Composites Industry Association (CCPIA), delivered warm opening speeches respectively.

Carbon fiber composites, known as the "black gold of materials", play a vital role in aviation, automotive, energy and other key areas. China's "Carbon Peak Action Plan" and "Hydrogen Industry Development Action Plan" were introduced to promote green and low-carbon development through scientific and technological innovation, and to realize the harmonious coexistence of economy and society with the ecological environment. Meanwhile, Korea's "Hydrogen Economy Development Roadmap" and "Carbon Fiber Composites Development Strategy" also show its ambition and determination in this field.

The signing of this MOU not only recognizes the friendly cooperation between China and South Korea in the field of composites, but also makes a firm commitment to the future development of both sides. According to the content of the memorandum, China and South Korea will carry out all-round cooperation in the fields of carbon fiber composites research and development, hydrogen energy technology research and application promotion.
