From September 17 to 18, the "China-Korea International Carbon Industry Technology Exchange Seminar" and the "2025 China-Korea Enterprise Strategic Cooperation (MOU) Signing Ceremony," jointly hosted by the China Composites Industry Association and the Korea Carbon Hydrogen Industry Research Association, were successfully held at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai). Ms. Lu Hongping, the Deputy Secretary-General of the China Composites Industry Association, attended the event in person. Industry leaders, experts, scholars, and enterprise representatives from both China and South Korea gathered to discuss major plans for the development of the carbon industry and jointly compose a new chapter of cooperation.

Technology Seminar Inspires an Innovative Future

On the afternoon of September 17, as an important starting point for the series of events, the "China-Korea International Carbon Industry Technology Exchange Seminar" kicked off first. The meeting focused on cutting-edge technologies in the carbon industry, aiming to build a high-level academic and industrial exchange platform.

The seminar featured a wealth of engaging and highlight-filled content. Professor Wang Xianfeng from Donghua University presented on "Smart Personal Microclimate Health Management Fibers," showcasing the revolutionary potential of smart fibers in enhancing the quality of human life. Professor Deng Hongbing from Wuhan University focused on "Applications of Biomass Fiber Materials in the Field of Microplastic Removal," elaborating on the crucial role of biomass materials in addressing global environmental challenges. Professor Kim Honggun from Jeonju University in South Korea shared insights on "Principles, Applications, and Latest Developments of Carbon Technologies," providing participants with a macro perspective and cutting-edge insights into the global development of carbon technologies.

In addition to academic discussions, practical sharing from the industrial sector also attracted significant attention. Mr. Zhu Haixiang from Zhejiang Xinghui New Material Technology Co., Ltd. provided a detailed introduction to the technological breakthrough of "Carbon-Carbon Composite Material Ceramization Modification," opening up new avenues for the application of high-performance materials. Mr. Lee Jonggil from BSM Co., Ltd. in South Korea presented "Waste Gas Treatment Methods Generated after Boiler Combustion in Power Plants," offering practical solutions for industrial green transformation. This in-depth dialogue lasting nearly four hours not only facilitated knowledge sharing and technological mutual learning between China and South Korea but also injected new vitality into the collaborative innovation of the carbon industries in both countries.

Strategic Cooperation Signings Take Root and Flourish

On the morning of September 18, the series of events reached a climax with the grand holding of the "2025 China-Korea Enterprise Strategic Cooperation (MOU) Signing Ceremony." Under the joint witness of leaders from both sides, cooperation between Chinese and South Korean enterprises moved from intention to substance.

At the ceremony, Carbon Valley Green Bay and the South Korean association took the lead in signing a strategic cooperation agreement, setting an example for industrial collaboration between the two countries. Subsequently, in a warm atmosphere, more than ten Chinese and South Korean enterprises successfully signed agreements covering multiple areas such as technological R&D, market applications, and industrial chain integration. This series of signings not only marked the beginning of commercial cooperation among enterprises but also served as a milestone for the in-depth integration and complementary advantages of the carbon industries in China and South Korea, indicating that bilateral cooperation has entered a new stage of institutionalization and regularization.

As the core promoter of this series of events, the China Composites Industry Association has always taken it as its mission to build a bridge for international exchanges and promote industrial collaborative innovation. This event is another significant achievement following the signing of a strategic cooperation (MOU) between the associations of the two countries in 2024. It not only elevates technological mutual trust and industrial cooperation between the two sides to a new height but also, through concrete actions, contributes "China-Korea wisdom" and "China-Korea solutions" with demonstrative significance to the green and sustainable development of the global carbon industry. Looking ahead, the association will continue to play a leading role, deepen practical cooperation between Chinese and South Korean enterprises, jointly tackle global challenges, and create a new pattern of win-win cooperation in the carbon industry.
