The project started construction in March 2023 and was completed and put into operation in October 2023. At present, 10 retracting lines have been put into operation, 3 semi-finished fiber pre-spinning production lines have started trial production, and 6 UD wiring equipment have been commissioned. The project adopts the first domestic gel spinning hot drawing process, breaking the international technology monopoly, and composite UD cloth has been supplied to the Chinese market in bulk.

After the completion of the project, Shandong Leiwei will become the largest high-end fiber supplier in China.

The third phase of Shandong Leiwei project is planned to be built in Laiwu High-tech Zone. The main products are new non-metallic composite materials, which are mainly used in aerospace, military equipment and automotive industry. Planning covers an area of 156 acres, construction area of 170,000 square meters, after the completion of production, can achieve sales revenue of more than 10 billion.
